Nykyinen maailma on enemmän tai vähemmän hämmästyttävä. Lapsuuden kesät eivät taida enää palata? Maapallolla menee huonosti, maa järisee ja meret keikkuvat, siellä ja täällä soditaan. Ja meikä istuu omassa tuolissaan kutomassa ja miettii mitähän seuraavaksi on tulossa. Luulin eilen, että lumisade on paha juttu. Syön marsipaania ja kissat kehräävät. Japanissa maa järisee ja tulevaisuus mietityttää.
Sitä odotellessa...

Life is hard

Elämäni ensimmäinen ristipistotyö esittänee kalkkunaa. Mitä tällä nyt kuuluu tehdä? Ripustaa seinälle? En tahdo semikamalaa kalkkunaa seinälle.
Elämä on tarpeeksi hankalaa ilman tuollaista häiriötekijää näkökentässä. Tänä aamuna ulkona kaikki hiekoitus-sepelit olivat sulaneet jään sisään ja pystyssä pysyminen oli "haaste" = vaikeaa. Pääsin yhtä mäkeä puoleen väliin ja sitten aloin luisua taaksepäin kunnes olin taas takaisin mäen alla. Mene siinä sitten töihin.
Huomenna tulee taas lisää lunta. Hassua?

My first cross stitch is propably a turkey. What do I do now? Hang it on the wall? I do not want the semi terrible turkey on the wall.
Life is hard enough without a thing like that. This morning the ice on the ground had melted and all the sand was sunken in the ice so walking was a "challenge" = difficult. I was climbing up a hill and got half way up but then started to slide backwards until I was back down again. So how do you go to work then?
It is going to be a snow storm again tomorrow. Funny?

Jokin eläin on käymässä käsiksi Wollmeise-kokoelmaani. Kuvan värit eivät ole ehkä ihan kohdallaan, mutta voinette silti yhtyä hämmästykseeni siitä, että kolmas vyyhti vasemmalta (tumman sinilila) on nimeltään Ballerina....
There is an animal about attac my Wollmeise collection. The colors may not be exact but I quess you could still agree with me that it is rather surprising that the name of the blue skein (third from left) is called Ballerina....

My new cat

Tämä nuori herra siis jotenkin jäi meille... Kaapo 4 kk.
Kaapo oli pienenä ihan kamala, se oli niin kovapäinen kissa, että ajattelin ettei tälle ikinä löydy kotia. Haha. Kutsuin häntä terrosristijärjestöksi. Ehkä juuri siksi pidin hänelle enemmän koirakoulua kuin muille ja nyt hän on pieni pehmoeläin vaaleanpunaisella nenällä... Kaapo on Ragdoll sininen bicolor, hihavirheellinen, toisessa kädessä pitkä hiha ja toisessa lyhyt...

This young gentelman kind of stayed with us.... Kaapo 4 months old.
Kaapo was a horrible little kitty, he was so hard headed that I thought he will never find a home. Haha. I called him "terrorist organisation". That is propably why I had to "dog train" him more than the others and now he is a sweet little teddy bear with a pink nose... So, Kaapo is a Ragdoll, blue bicolor with a little mistake, the other arm is long sleeved and the other is short sleeved....

Tuosta ei koiran vaate enää parane.... Löysin tämän täältä ja ohje löytyy Raverlystä nimellä To humiliate the dog..... ohjeessa mainitaan, että tarvitaan lisäksi : Minpin sized dog to humiliate.
Mahtavaa, että joku jaksaa pelleillä, se tekee elämästä niin paljon helpompaa. Ja nyt kutomaan tuollaista Urpolle, siis koiralle mallia Russel.... Kissat ei ikinä suostuis pitämään tuollaisia...

I so love that some people have the energy too fool around. It makes this life so much easier. And now off I go to make one of those for Urpo the Russel... The cats would never wear those.
