Loppiainen

Koko talven (mikä talvi?) olen hautonut ajatusta tuubineuleesta ja kun näin sellaisen Jaanan blogissa tiesin heti, että tuossa se on! Raverly link Stockholm-Helsinki. Lanka on Drops Limaa ja siihen tulee menemään 6 kerää eli 300 g. Tämä on tyypille jolla on synttärit huomenna, joten saattaa tulla hoppu aamuyöstä.....

Bat-Baktus

Tänään raahautuessani töistä kotiin roikkui ovessa tuo.... Kyllä. Ovessa voi roikkua tuollainen kotiin tulessa. Minäkään en tiennyt ennen, että niin voi käydä. Nyt tiedän. Mietin vaan mitähän muuta ovessa voikaan roikkua jos tuo kerran jo oli siinä.... Taas yksi fobia lisää.

Today as I dragged myself home from the work I found that hanging from the door.... Yes. It is possible that this sort of a thing can hang on your door. No, I didn´t know that could happen. Now I know. Just makes me wonder what else could possibly be hanging on the door if that was there... One more fobia.

Se on hyvin monikäyttöinen ja puuvillainen. Korvat asettuvat kauniisti otsalle.
It is multypurpose ja cottony. The ears nicely set on your forehead.

Palauttakseni mielen tasapainon kudon loppuillan tuota. Siinä ei tarvita aivoja. Kunhan kutoo tarpeeksi vinoon.
To keep my mental balance I will use the rest of the evening to knit that. You need no brain for that. Just keep going diagonal enough.

Noro Sekku

Nuo tuossa... Ne ovat Noro Sekku-lankaa. Uusi tuttavuus, pitsivahvuus ja kerällä on 420 metriä. Puolet on puuvillaa, loppu villaa, nylonia ja silkkiä. Yritin aloittaa Zetor-huivia, mutta puihin meni. No, Zetor on vanha viholliseni, vain kerran olen saanut sen kudotttua. Pääsin jo varmaan 50 kierrosta kun toinen laita alkoi näyttää joltain ihan muulta ja tuo lanka.... siitä ei ota erkkikään selvää.

Those up there... That is Noro Sekku-yarn. A new friend, lace weight and about 420 meters per ball. Half of it is cotton and the rest is wool, nylon and silk. I started a Zetor-scarf but had to give up. Zetor is an old enemy of mine... only once have I completed one. I got about 50 rounds but then had to give up because the other end looked too suspicious and that yarn... it didn´t help at all.

Ostin tarpeeksi kissanruokaa, 10 kg....

Tekeillä Shalom Cardigan... Aika karvainen lanka tuo Dropsin Angora Tweed, siis irtokarvainen, mutta ihana. Niin on kyllä ympäristökin.

Koska en vähään aikaan ole tehnyt mitään tarvitsin jotain pientä ensin lämmittelyksi. Villapeikon blogista löysin omenan villapaidan. Juuri sopiva. Tämä on Novitan silkkivillaa ja reunus Dropsin Kid Silkiä. Molemmat violetinharmaita. Ohjetta ei ole...

Because I have not been doing anything for a while I needed something small to warm up. I found this sweater for an apple in Villapeikko´s blog. Just the right thing. It is silk wool by Novita and the trim (?) is Kid Silk by Drops. Both are lilacgray. There is no pattern....

Vankina - As a prisoner

Näin voi käydä jos aivoissa on liikaa kuormaa ja ihminen on huolimaton...
Siis, maalle viikonlopuksi ja kaikki kankaat ja paininjalat ja leikkuualustat ja muut huolellisesti pakattuna. Jesh, koko viikonloppu vain ompelua.
Paitsi että ompelukone jäi kotiin.

Mitä sitten kuuluu tehdä? Juosta ympäri metsää kiljuen apua ja pelotella kaikki karhut tiehensä?

Mukana oli vain pallo Ilun sukkalankaa ja 80 cm pyöröpuikot!!!

Onneksi oli läppäri ja etsin Youtubesta opetuspätkän Magic Loop (kuinka kudotaan sukkaa pyöröillä) ja sitten Interweave Knitsistä Herringbone Rib Sock-ohjeen.
Todella hyvä kuvio, mutta varmaan hitain koskaan kutomani. Mutta hieno. Ja sekosin vähän väliä ja tämä on vaikea purettava...


This can happen if your brain is burdened and you become careless... We headed to the country side for the weekend. Everthing was carefully packed, all the fabrics and every little detail you could possibly need. Jesh! It´s going to bee all quilting for the whole weekend. Except that I forgot the machine at home.

What do you do next? Run around in the woods screeming for help and scare all bears away?

All I had was a ball of wool by Ilu and 80 cm circular needels!!!
What I did was that I got my laptop (thank God for that) and looked for the tutorial for Magic Loop (how to use circular needels for knitting a sock) in Youtube and then a pattern called Herringbone Rib socks From Interweave Knits.
I really like the pattern but it is very slow to knit and hard to undo if you have gone astray. Which happened all the time...
