Tässä valmis kaapu, Guernsey Wrap Brooklyn Tweedin kokoelmista Jared Floodin suunnittelema. Se oli jotenkin niin nopea tehdä, etten ehtinyt sanoa kissaakaan kun oli jo valmis. Lanka on Dropsin alpakkaa mikälie ruosteen oranssi, sattuu nyt olemaan näköjään ainoa sävy joka miellyttää silmää. Mikähän väri seuraavaksi nousee esiin? Edellinen kausi oli turkoosi, sitä ennen keltainen...
Sen vaan sanon tuosta alpakasta, että langasta kyllä näkee, että se on laamaeläimestä kotoisin. Niin kapinallinen tapaus. Edes liotus ei tasoittanut tuota...
This is Guernsey Wrap from Brooklyn Tweed by Jared Flood. It was so quick to knit that I didn´t have time to say "cat" before it was ready. Yarn is Drops Alpaca a kind of orange colourway that seems to appeal to my eye at the moment. I wonder what will be the next one? Last season was teal and before that was yellow...
I have to say that alpaca yarn is very rebellient. You can see from what sort of an animal it come from (a llama). Not even soaking and blocking makes any difference...
